The Beluga sturgeon produces the world's most sought after, top-dollar caviar, which has led to the species being declared critically endangered in the wild. Beluga caviar has been banned in the United States since 2005 by the Fish and Wildlife Service-- thus why we source from farms producing hybrid species. Hybrids usually don't naturally occur in the wild so its a great way to ensure sustainability and enjoy the best features of 2 species.
This decadent, sustainable caviar is the next best thing compared to true Beluga. Scrumptious!!
We don’t know much about caviar to be honest. We’ve had other brands that were very good, but this was a whole new level! Even non-caviar lovers were impressed and really enjoyed the buttery deliciousness of each bite. Will definitely be back for our Christmas treat.
